Edi Gathegi Joins Superman Legacy Cast as Mister Terrific

Edi Gathegi is set to appear in the forthcoming DC Universe project, Superman Legacy as Mister Terrific and fans of the actor and the DC Comics alike are eagerly anticipating his performance. The Kenyan American actor has a long history of playing complex and compelling characters, and we are confident that he will bring the same level of depth and nuance to his portrayal of Mister Terrific. He joins a star-studded cast that includes Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl and Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern.

Film Director and DC Studios co-CEO, James Gunn took to Instagram to celebrate the news, closely echoed by Edi Gathegi on his page. 

One of Gathegi’s most notable roles to date was his portrayal of Laurent in the Twilight Saga films. Though the character was technically a villain, Gathegi brought a sense of charisma and charm to the role that made him impossible to hate. Gathegi has also had notable roles in a number of other films and television shows, including X-Men: First Class, StartUp, and The Blacklist. In each of these projects, he has demonstrated a remarkable versatility as an actor, able to inhabit a range of different characters and bring them to life with authenticity.

Mister Terrific is a superhero who first appeared in the DC Comics universe in the 1940s. He was created by writer Charles Reizenstein and artist Everett E. Hibbard and was one of the first African American superheroes to appear in comic books. The character has gone through several iterations over the years, with different individuals taking on the mantle including Michael Holt.

Edi Gathegi joining the DC Universe family as Mister Terrific on Superman Legacy, is an exciting development for both the actor and the character.
