Couture Africa Style Awards are an annual award ceremony held in Nairobi, Kenya by Couture Africa Magazine. The purpose of the awards is not only to celebrate the best dressed in the region, but to fuse fashion and lifestyle through style.
Couture Africa Style Awards 2021 is the second installation of this celebrated award ceremony, and this time around involved personalities from Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. The Couture Africa Style Awards 2021 Nominees were selected through a vigorous vetting process by our esteemed Nomination Panel with assistance from the Couture Africa Editorial Teams. Focus was on individuals who have a distinct, consistent and outstanding sense of style. This year’s panel included Iconic Fashion Designer John Kaveke, Luxury Fashion Entrepreneur Sonal Maherali and Digital Content Creator Maureen Waititu.
The Couture Africa Style Awards Gala and Awards Ceremony was a culmination of a two-week open voting process that saw the public vote for individuals across eight key categories that included Most Stylish Media Personalities, Most Stylish Sports People, Most Stylish Entertainers, Most Stylish Corporates, Most Stylish Entrepreneurs, Most Stylish Content Creators, Most Stylish Public Servants, Most Stylish person of the year and the publicly nominated People’s Choice Award. The Gala event held at Kings Prism Tower on 9th December 2021 was an elegant yet rustic event that saw various personalities such as Azziad Nasenya, Esther Passaris and Sheeba karungi Bag awards. CLICK HERE to view the full winners list.
The highlight of the evening was definitely the Posthumous Award for Most Stylish public Servant that went to The Late and Great, Orie Rogo Manduli, who was well known for her larger-than-life head gear and strong personality.
The event was also bustling with celebrities dressed to slay the Red Carpet!
