ALDO, the popular footwear and accessories brand, launched its first store in East Africa on 15th April 2023 at The Sarit Centre Mall in Westlands, Nairobi. This news has been met with much excitement from fashion enthusiasts and shoe lovers alike. The Canadian-based brand, founded in 1972, has become a household name thanks to its trendy products and large variety.

The launch of ALDO in Kenya is a testament to the growing fashion retail industry in the country. Kenya has been making strides in the retail sector over the years, with many international brands such as MANGO, Nine West and Hugo Boss opening stores in Nairobi. The arrival of ALDO is a sign that Kenyan consumers are seen as a viable market for international brands.

The ALDO launch event in Kenya has been met with much consumer excitement. Many Kenyans have taken to social media to express their excitement about the brand’s arrival in the country. Franchise holder WAMA International Group noted that this collaboration will make it possible for as many as four new retail outlets to open soon as they seek to expand their presence in the East African region.
