  • RUNWAY KENYA 2023 is the ready-to-wear apparel arm of the EAST AFRICA TEXTILE AND LEATHER WEEK [AETLW] and shall be an opportunity for apparel and accessory designers to showcase the best out of Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Ethiopia at a fee of KES 50,000 [US$400] for the three-day exhibition and runway shows, open to the public.

    RUNWAY KENYA 2023 is an independent fashion event organised by COUTURE AFRICA LIMITED in partnership with Ajuma Limited at the East Africa Textile and Leather Week 2023 organised by Trade and Fairs East Africa.
  • TERMS & CONDITIONS

    As a Participating Designer:

    1. You shall have an opportunity to showcase on Wednesday 28th or Thursday 29th and at the FINALE show on Friday 30th June 2023.
    2. You shall be required to showcase a collection 10 - 15 pieces for the runway shows.
    3. You be required to exhibit under the COUTURE AFRICA PAVILLION for the three event days [Wednesday 28th - Friday 30th 2023] and will cover your set-up costs.

    Couture Africa Limited & Partners:

    1. Has no mandate to charge a commission on any products sold by your brand at the COUTURE AFRICA PAVILLION.
    2. Shall be responsible for all costs required to execute RUNWAY KENYA 2023 including [but not limited to] exhibition fees for the COUTURE AFRICA PAVILLION, fashion show set-up, back stage management, choreography, model fees, model fitting allowances, crew and model meals on show days, event coverage, as well as fashion show marketing and promotion.
    3. May from time to time provide input on the fabrication of your collection to ensure it meets global standards.
    4. May from time to time reach out to you for behind the scenes coverage and media interviews pre-event to be used to market your brand's participation before, during and after RUNWAY KENYA 2023.
    5. Is not responsible for the no-show of any participants or partners due to unforeseen circumstances or a scheduling conflict beyond his or her control.
