The Africa Monologue Challenge is a prestigious competition where actors from all African countries can compete for a lead role in a Pan-African film, among other exciting prizes. The competition is an initiative of MK Casting, Ghana’s premier casting company, in collaboration with the African Chamber of Content Producers.
The Africa Monologue Challenge 2023 competition received a staggering 2,000 entries worldwide, showcasing the talent, passion, and diversity of African actors. Out of these, a panel of esteemed judges shortlisted 50 finalists representing various African countries .
These finalists will embark on an exhilarating eight-month-long monologue challenge conducted entirely online. Every two weeks, they will perform monologues on various themes and topics, and face bi-weekly evictions based on the votes of the audience and the judges.
The final challenge will take place in person in the beautiful country of Uganda. The grand finale is scheduled for May 26, 2024, where the top 10 finalists will compete for the coveted title of Africa Monologue Champion.
