Fashionomics Incubator and Accelerator Programs Award Ceremony

Fashionomics Africa is a platform that connects African designers and entrepreneurs with consumers, mentors & investors around the world. It seeks to create and grow businesses by increasing access to markets, increasing access to finance, developing skills and qualifications and providing mentorship and networking opportunities. On the morning of the 2nd of February 2023, Fashionomics announced the 4 winners of the incubator and accelerator 8-week online programs attended by people from all across Africa including Egypt, Kenya and Nigeria through a virtual graduation ceremony.

The incubator program targeted African entrepreneurs working between 0-3 years while the accelerator program targeted those that have been in operation for over 3 years. Each program is aimed at improving the way each participant grows their business, views their target market and how access to financial opportunities will help them build a sustainable business.

The two winners of the incubator program out of a final of 12 participants were Emma Forson from Ghana with a business that focuses on textile technology and Mecktiber Mchomvu from Tanzania with a jewellery business. The winners of the accelerator program also selected from 12 participants were Selma Belkhodja from Tunisia with a womenswear fashion brand and Fese Ndumba from Cameroon.

We are all very proud of the winners as well as the participants of the program and look forward to what they have to offer the African Fashion Industry. The next round of applications kicked off immediately after the awards ceremony; if you are interested in participating check out @FashionomicsAfrica on all social media platforms.
